It seems sorta old, and from what I've seen in trailers, all the character art is classic in a weird way that just seems like it should've been used for the DS games instead of the godawful art style they used. Fates, beyond the butchered localization, was a blast to play as well, and the designs were, as with Awakening, solid and lovely.Įchoes goes in a different direction, and I'm not liking the new art at all.

This kept being the case for a few games, and eventually Awakening released, which really reignited my love for the franchise due to the sheer amount of supports and the quality of said supports. Blazing Sword was great and I took great care in evolving my relationships between characters. Still played them though, being a fan of the franchise and all. I've played Gaiden, Genealogy & Thracia 776, and I disliked the games a lot. As a Fire Emblem fan I'll try every single title, but I found myself loving Awakening and Fates more than other titles I've played (Don't worry Lyn, you're still my favorite though.) This title seems like a return to the Fire Emblem of old, and I'm not really digging it. We also learn there will be special collaboration content with Fire Emblem 0 (the TCG Game).Īs normal there'll also be a freebie on day one with a helpful item, in this case Goddess Gift 1 (Boots, only once).
